Milagros are the
small silver charms that the Mexicans pin to images
of the Virgin Mary and Saints. A fisherman may pin
a silver fish to a Saint and pray for a good catch.
Milagros translates from Spanish as Miracle. We are
often greeted by friends we haven’t seen for a while
with “Que milagro”.
Milagros
works with independent makers and small workshops
to create quality hand made products, combining both
traditional techniques with contemporary design. All
our products are sourced in Mexico.
Our shop is found in London’s East End, next to Columbia
Road flower market. We are open on Sundays from 9am
to 3pm or by appointment.

We import hand made ceramic Mexican wall tiles. The
tiles are available in fifteen different colours including
red, orange and black. The hand made tiles are suitable
for bathrooms and kitchens. Prices for the tiles begin
at 24p or £20.60 per square meter. They are
available to buy from our shop in London, our warehouse
in Bristol or online.
Milagros imports hand blown recycled glassware from
Mexico. We work with three different workshops. Each
creating distinctive recycled glassware. Engraved
glassware, coloured glassware and clear glassware
available in vases, jugs, wineglasses, tumblers and
bowl.
We have travelled
extensively throughout Mexico. We are continually
sourcing new objects that reflect the bold and exuberant
colours of Mexico and their distinct culture. We currently
have ceramic skeletons, Mexican silver jewellery,
brightly woven laundry baskets, ironing baskets and
waste baskets, lottery mirrors, Milagros, wooden creatures
from Oaxaca, day of the dead niches, hand woven bags,
oil cloth bags in stock and ceramics.
